Xmarx.biz was kind enough to send us a variety of samples for their 1/285 resin terrain. Unlike most of our reviews this stuff is designed specifically for Battletech.
Xmarx sent us an LRM turret, modular walls, a power facility, and an embankment for the turret.
The turret sits nicely in its protective embankment and really looks remarkable.
The LRM packs are removable.
The scale seems to be slightly off for the generator, but it really is beautifully crafted. Xmarx provides record sheets on their web site for all of their buildings and turrets. Very cool since it's so hard to find the old turret sheets from the 1991 Battletech Compendium. This is the middle stages of painting the pieces. As you can see the detail really stands out when drybrush, add a dark wash, and then drybrush again. The power plant is the exact hight needed to be a daunting obstacle on the field of battle. As you can see with the picture above some points are just tall enough to obstruct the view of an entire Catapult.
